Introduction – Canadian Customers
Thank you for purchasing a Maximiza Pull Up Bar or Maximiza Plus Pull Up Bar. We sincerely hope that you enjoy using your pull up bar and that it meets your fitness needs.
The Maximiza pull up bars are very safe when used correctly but the Maximiza Pull Up Bar (like every other brand of doorway pull up bar) is NOT permanently fixed to the doorframe and, as a result, can fall if incorrectly installed or if safe usage instructions are not followed EVERY time it is used.
Garren Fitness takes safety seriously and we provide installation and usage instructions and safety warnings to all customers. It is the responsibility of each customer to ensure that those instructions and warnings are followed correctly. So before using your pull up bar, it is important that you are fully aware of usage instructions and safety warnings.
These ‘Terms of Product Use (Canada)’ explain your rights and responsibilities regarding the Maximiza Pull-Up Bar. The Terms are detailed in full on this webpage (https://garrenfitness.com/terms-of-product-use-maximiza-pull-up-bars-ca) and, together with the printed or electronic safety instructions supplied with the product, form part of your agreement with Garren Fitness.

What Do These Terms Cover?
- How the product should be used and installed
- Our warranty and what it covers
- Your safety responsibilities
- How disputes get resolved
- Our liability limits (what we’re responsible for)
What Do These Terms NOT Cover?
- Your purchase from Amazon or other retailers (their terms apply)
- Shipping and delivery
- Returns and refunds (check with the retailer)
- Your privacy (see our Privacy Policy)
- Your legal rights as a consumer
How Do These Terms Apply If I Bought on Amazon.ca?
These Terms apply to every Maximiza Pull Up Bar and Maximiza Plus Pull Up Bar sold in Canada through Amazon.ca.
You have several opportunities to read these Terms:
- Before purchase, by searching for “Terms of Product Use (Canada) – Maximiza Pull Up Bars” on the Garren Fitness website or through a web search. Both English and French versions are available.
- After purchase, when you receive the product:
- The packaging and instruction sheet direct you to the full Terms of Product Use (Canada).
- The Terms are available at all times on the Garren Fitness website. Both English and French versions are available.
How Do I Accept These Terms If I Bought on Amazon.ca?
Because the purchase is made on Amazon.ca, Garren Fitness does not control the checkout process and cannot display these Terms or a check‑box during checkout. Instead:
- By placing an order for the product on Amazon.ca, you consent to be bound by these Terms once you have had a reasonable chance to review them.
- By opening the packaging, keeping the product, and using it after you have had an opportunity to review these Terms, you accept these Terms, subject to your 30‑day right to change your mind described below.
If you do not agree to these Terms after reviewing them, you may reject them and return the product within 30 days as described below.
Your 30‑Day Right to Review and Reject These Terms:
After you receive your bar, you have 30 days to read these Terms and decide whether you accept them.
If, within 30 days of receiving the product, you decide you do not accept these Terms, you can return the product and get a refund:
Option 1 – If you Purchased on Amazon.ca
- Go to “Your Orders” on Amazon.ca.
- Select “Return or Replace Items” for your Maximiza purchase.
- Choose an appropriate return reason.
- Please leave a comment as to why you are returning the product.
- Follow Amazon’s return instructions. Your refund will be processed according to Amazon’s refund policy.
Option 2 – Contact Garren Fitness Directly (If Needed):
If Amazon’s return window or process does not work for you, you can also contact us directly within 30 days of receiving the product:
- Email: service@garrenfitness.com
- Subject line: “Rejection of Terms”
- Message: “I do not accept the Terms of Product Use for my Maximiza Pull Up Bar,” and include your Amazon order number and date of purchase.
We will respond within 5 business days with return and refund instructions. Refunds will normally be processed via Amazon.ca for Amazon orders. Refunds are for the purchase price, less any original shipping charges (if applicable).
After 30 days without rejection:
If you do not return the product or contact us or Amazon.ca to reject these Terms within 30 days of receiving the product:
- You will be deemed to have accepted these additional contractual Terms only to the extent permitted by applicable law and subject to all mandatory consumer rights.
- Continuing to possess and use the product confirms your acceptance of these contractual Terms.
Important Clarification About Your Legal Rights:
This 30-day review period applies only to these additional contractual Terms of Product Use.
Your legal warranty rights under the Consumer Protection Act, Civil Code of Quebec, and other consumer protection laws apply AUTOMATICALLY to your purchase, regardless of whether you review or accept these contractual Terms within the 30-day period.
Your statutory consumer rights exist independently of this agreement and cannot be waived, limited, or affected by this 30-day review mechanism. These include:
- Legal warranty of quality (product must function as described and be free from defects)
- Legal warranty of reasonable durability (product must last a reasonable time)
- Right to seek compensation for defects or injuries
- Right to file complaints with consumer protection authorities
- Right to pursue legal action in court
- All other consumer rights that cannot be limited under applicable law
Whether you formally accept or reject these Terms within 30 days:
- You still have full legal warranty rights
- You can still file claims for defects
- You can still seek compensation for injuries from defects or negligence
- You can still contact consumer protection authorities
- You can still sue in court if necessary.
The 30-day period is an ADDITIONAL consumer protection we provide for reviewing the contractual terms. It does not create, limit, or affect your statutory legal rights in any way.
Your Legal Rights Cannot Be Taken Away
Nothing in this section (or anywhere in these Terms) removes or reduces your legal rights as a consumer under Canadian federal or provincial law. If there is a conflict between these Terms and applicable consumer protection law, the law will apply instead of these Terms.
Languages:
These Terms are available in English and French. Both are equally valid and legally binding.
For Quebec Residents: In accordance with Quebec’s Charter of the French Language (Bill 96), the French version will be presented first (or simultaneously with English) when you view these Terms on our website. Both versions are equally accessible and comprehensive. In case of any ambiguity or inconsistency between the English and French versions, the French version prevails for Quebec residents and will be interpreted in favor of the consumer, in accordance with applicable Quebec law.
You can access the French version at any time at: https://garrenfitness.com/fr-terms-of-product-use-maximiza-pull-up-bars-ca/

Safety information and warnings are detailed on the Important Safety Information – Maximiza Pull Up Bars webpage as well as the Amazon.ca product listing, product packaging and the supplied instruction sheet. Please read these documents carefully before installing or using the product.

5. Acknowledgment Of Inherent Fitness Activity Risks
Use of fitness equipment, including doorway pull-up bars, involves inherent risks associated with strength training and exercise. These risks include but are not limited to falls, contact with equipment, muscle strains, and other injuries common to physical fitness activities. The Maximiza Pull-Up Bar is not permanently affixed to the doorframe and may fall if not properly installed, maintained, and used according to instructions and safety warnings every time it is used. When using a pull-up bar, your full body weight is suspended above the floor, and any falls carry the risk of serious injury.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: This acknowledgment of inherent fitness activity risks does NOT waive any of your consumer rights under Canadian law.
Acknowledgment Of Inherent Risks
By using this product, you acknowledge that you understand the inherent risks associated with physical exercise and strength training activities and voluntarily choose to use the product. You assume responsibility for:
- Proper installation on a suitable doorframe according to provided instructions
- Inspection before each use to ensure stability and safety.
- Use only for intended purposes, (pull-ups, chin-ups, and approved secondary exercises listed in the instructions)
- Adherence to weight limits and height recommendations
- Following all safety warnings and instructions every time the product is used.
- Discontinuing use immediately if the bar feels unstable or shows signs of wear.
Consumer Rights That Are Preserved
This acknowledgment of inherent fitness activity risks applies ONLY to risks inherent to physical exercise and proper use of a correctly functioning product. It does not apply to injuries caused by product defects, manufacturing errors, or failure of the product to conform to specifications when properly used.
Important Clarification: This assumption of risk applies only to inherent fitness risks and proper product use. It does NOT apply to and does NOT waive your rights regarding:
- Product defects or manufacturing errors
- Our negligence in product design, manufacturing, or quality control
- Inadequate or incorrect instructions or safety warnings
- Failure of the product to meet safety standards
- Breach of warranties (legal warranty or limited product warranty)
- Damages caused by our failure to meet our legal obligations as a manufacturer
- Any other consumer rights protected under the Consumer Protection Act or other applicable Canadian law
You retain full legal rights to make claims and seek compensation for injuries or damages caused by:
- Defects in the product
- Errors in manufacturing or design
- Our negligence or failure to meet legal obligations
- Violations of your consumer rights
Nothing in this section limits your ability to pursue legal action if you believe your injury or damage resulted from factors other than the inherent risks of proper physical exercise.
Safety Is Your Shared Responsibility
While we design, manufacture, and provide safety instructions for this product, the safety of the installation and use depends on your actions:
- Always use the required heavy-duty screw-in door mounts (3 sets provided)
- Install only on solid wood doorframes capable of supporting your weight
- Before EVERY use, cautiously test the bar’s stability before full exercise
- Visually inspect the installation before each use
- If anything feels wrong—stop and inspect before continuing
Your safety depends on following these requirements every single time you use the bar.
6. Warranties And Legal Protections
